I usually put together a rough music track for tempo and animation timing. Next, I had to record what would be the final takes of the gospel quartet singers. It would be much too hard to redo the lip sync once the animations were set (two years later). I sang all of the parts for my main characters and all of the parts for the group singers at the end of the song.
I was still in a sling from my surgery, so all my early tracks had to be played left-handed. I didn't complete the final track until winter of 2025. My own lead vocal must be exact before I can do my green screen shots.
The opening scene, approximately one minute long, needed special treatment. My daughter Molly writes and produces a lot of interesting music for soundtracks. I told her what I was looking for, and she sent me to some recordings she did for the company she writes for. The clip called TEMPERATURE was perfect. She recorded this track under the name Featherland, but it is really Molly. I edited the music to fit my scene. And as with CHANGED IN A MOMENT, I also have to pay to license her music for my project…because not even Mom gets to use it for free!
